SSAG’s action in 2018

Community Meetings

During 2018 the SSAG held two community meetings both of which were very well attended. The first meeting was held on 22 February 2018 and below is a link to our presentation.

The second meeting was held on 2 August 2018 prior to the close of submissions in response to the Springdale EIS. Our aim was to inform the community of the number of issues that the SSAG had identified and to provide information on how to lodge a submission.

We invited all Yass Valley councillors and on the night Deputy Mayor Kim Turner and Councillor Geoff Frost were in attendance and were very encouraging about our plans to oppose the development.

We believe it was this presentation (which was subsequently sent to the Mayor and other councillors) that helped the Yass Valley Council to lodge an addendum to their submission which supported many of our issues. (see link below)
